Arts & Crafts For The Classroom
Hey all you Teachers, Crafters and Avid Scrapbookers are you needing some time away?
Are you ready to relax, make crafts, and do scrapbooking, while cruising the beautiful
Alaskan waters? How does 7 days of Crafting, including Scrapbooking sound to you?
Here's your opportunity to relax and join other fellow teachers/crafters from the US and
Canada that have the same passion for teaching and crafting that you do, and of course,
to learn some new ideas to take back to your classrooms with you.
You can participate in all of the ships activities on land and at sea or spend 7 days
Crafting/Scrapbooking, the choice is yours. Special demonstrations and classes will be held
while we are sailing and when we get to the ports you are off to explore paradise, go on an
adventure of a lifetime, or continue Crafting/Scrapping. We meet at dinner to share where
we explored or what adventure we experienced for the day.
As the newly appointed Full Time Arts and Crafts Coordinator for All Star Cruises and Travel,
Inc., I am so excited to bring this fun filled event to Teachers/Scrappers all over. We are
happy to announce several travel events that are being specifically planned around Arts
and Crafts. This is just the beginning of our Arts and Crafts Cruises. There are more Arts and
Crafts Cruises currently being planned.
Please consider joining us for this breath taking and fun filled event. It will be an adventure
of your lifetime. Please feel free to call Dan, The Travel Man at 800-818-3739 about any travel

Vancouver, British Columbia
Most recently ranked by The Economist as the number one most livable city in the world, Vancouver is a picturesque
city surrounded by the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the snow capped peaks of the Coast Mountain range.
Vancouver is Canada's third largest city with many unique neighborhoods to explore including Gastown, Yaletown,
Chinatown and the West End. Visitors can enjoy world class shopping, gourmet meals, outstanding live entertainment,
sporting events, theatre, outdoor adventure and world-class attractions. |
Inside Passage (Cruising) Cruising through the Inside Passage is really what has made Alaska cruising so popular. This trip captures so much of
what people love about Alaska. There are glaciers the size of Rhode Island, misty rain forests, ghostly blue fjords and
spirited communities that celebrate their varied heritage. Be sure to take in every view as you sail through one of the
most beautiful parts of Alaska. |
Ketchikan, Alaska Ketchikan originated as an Indian fish saltery, but the town's major growth began when it became a supply base and
entry port for miners during the 1898 Gold Rush to the Klondike. Much of the town's colorful past is still in evidence,
especially in the nearby Indian villages, where you'll see colorfully carved totem poles and hear the fascinating legends
that surround them. |
Icy Strait Point, Alaska Icy Strait Point is located near the city of Hoonah, the largest native Tlingit Indian settlement in Alaska, and very near
Glacier Bay National Park. Home to a historic cannery, the port's connection to the sea is strong. Locals share the sea
with humpback whales, orcas, Dall porpoises, seals, sea otters, halibut and all five species of Pacific salmon. It is not
uncommon to spot a humpback or an orca while walking along the shore. |
Juneau, Alaska Juneau, the capital of Alaska, was founded during a gold rush in 1880. Today, the former gold-mining town counts
among its riches some of Alaska's most spectacular scenery. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Juneau in the Alaska Panhandle,
it faces the water from the mainland side of Gastineau Channel. Several magnificent fjords are located along the
channel coast, and the majestic Mendenhall Glacier, a favorite of visitors, is nearby. |
Skagway, Alaska When gold was discovered in the Klondike region of the Yukon Territory (just across the border from Alaska), it resulted
in the historic Gold Rush of 1898. As thousands of gold-crazed adventurers sought the best starting point for their
arduous trek, they found the deepest penetration possible by boat was at the northern tip of the Lynn Canal. This is how
Skagway was born. |
Hubbard Glacier (Cruising) The longest river of ice in North America, the Hubbard Glacier is also one of the most active glaciers of its kind in
Alaska. And since our ships are designed to provide our guests with the best viewing possible, you'll be able to see this
massive natural wonder, with its 1,350 square miles of blue ice, from just about anywhere on the ship. |
Seward, Alaska Seward is not only one of Alaska's oldest communities, it's also one of its most scenic. Visit and discover this
picturesque town known as the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. You'll find a historic downtown district filled with
quaint shops and art galleries, and some of the most exciting outdoor adventures imaginable. |
Cruise Only Passengers will end there cruise vacation here.
Cruise/Tour Passengers will continue with this land tour. |
Day 8 - Seward/Anchorage/Fairbanks Once in Seward, you'll board a deluxe motor coach for a scenic drive to Anchorage airport. Here you'll meet your
Adventure Specialist for a flight to Fairbanks. Depending on your flight schedule, you'll be able to visit an Alaskan
museum in Anchorage or Fairbanks. You'll spend the night in Fairbanks. |
Day 9 - Fairbanks/Denali You'll cruise on the riverboat Discovery Sternwheeler in the morning, which includes a stop at an Athabascan Indian
Village. Then travel by deluxe motor coach to Denali in the afternoon. You'll have the rest of the day for optional
activities such as river-rafting or flight seeing, or you can just marvel at the naturel beauty of the area before you settle in
for the night at your Denali hotel. |
Day 10 - Denali/Talkeetna Start the day with the Denali Natural History Tour in Denali National Park. Then sit back and relax as you take in the
wonders of Alaska aboard the Wilderness Express, our glass-domed train cars, on your way to Talkeetna. When the
day ends you'll have time for independent activities, including glacier flight seeing or river-rafting. At night, you can relax
at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. |
Day 11 - Talkeetna/Anchorage Spend the first part of your day exploring the area or participating in an optional activity such as a float trip on the
Talkeetna River. Late in the afternoon, board the Wilderness Express for a journey through the scenic wilderness. The
trip ends in Anchorage, Alaska's largest city, where you'll spend the night. |
Day 12 - Anchorage Your Adventure Specialist will see that you are transferred to the Anchorage airport for your flight home. |
